A single opal glass globe hangs from a slim brass rod, small and simple enough to repeat in a row above a kitchen island without crowding it.

Opal glass diffuses the light from the bulb inside into an even, all-over glow rather than showing a bright point through clear glass, which keeps the fixture calm rather than glaring at eye level. The brass rod and canopy are the only other visible parts of this slim rod suspension, kept deliberately minimal so the globe itself is the whole design. Sized as a compact accent, it suits a kitchen island or a dining table where several can be hung in a line, though the single globe reads as a small accent rather than a large orb.
