Clear glass globes bunched tight around a central stem, so the light is caught and thrown between them instead of falling straight down.

Each globe is blown clear with the faintest warm cast, and they are densely bunched around the fitting at slightly different heights so the whole cluster reads as one continuous mass rather than separate globes. Six lamps sit inside the mass rather than under it, which is what produces the effect: every globe picks up light from the ones next to it, so from below you see a scatter of small bright points instead of one source. The cable is clear, so the cluster appears to hang on nothing, and the drop is adjustable to suit the room.

Where it works: over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or dropped into a stairwell where the cluster is seen from below.
