Kangan Pendant Light

A single hand shaped ellipse of amber glass, wide and flattened, hung on a clear cable so nothing distracts from the shape of the shade itself.

The glass is blown into an irregular oval, with soft hollows and ripples pressed into the surface that bend the light differently at every point, giving the silhouette real depth. The tint is warm amber, so a clear filament lamp behind it reads as candlelight rather than as a bare bulb, and because the glass is fully transparent the lamp is part of what you are buying. A brushed brass socket and a clear cable keep the suspension as quiet as possible, letting the shade itself do the talking.

Where it works: low over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or as a single point of warmth in a living room.
