Eight alabaster columns hung at different lengths from one long matt black bar, so the group reads as a skyline rather than a row of identical drops.

The canopy is a plain rectangular bar in matt black and everything else hangs off it on fine cables. Each drop is a solid alabaster column, squared off rather than turned, and lit from inside so the stone glows along its whole length and its veining shows as cloud rather than as pattern. Because the columns are staggered, the eye reads depth across the length of the fitting instead of a flat line, and the arrangement suits a long island or a long table where a single central pendant light would leave the ends dark.
