Asaluyeh Table Lamp

A cast concrete base in a soft bottle shape, textured white, with a small brass collar under a wide natural linen drum that keeps the light low and even.

The base is poured concrete finished in a chalky white, wide at the foot and drawn into a short neck, with the surface left rough enough to read as cast rather than moulded. A slim brass collar sits at the join, which is the only warm metal on the lamp and the detail that stops it looking like a plain white cylinder. The shade is 100% linen, wide and shallow in profile, so the light falls downwards onto a surface rather than out into the room, and it tilts on its fitting. A toggle switch sits on the cable, and the lamp comes fitted with a UK three-pin plug.

Where it works: a bedside table, a hallway console, or a living room shelf where a warm low pool of light is the point.
