Tahmineh Table Lamp

A tall turned column in a distressed white finish under a wide oatmeal linen shade, cast in resin rather than carved from timber.

It reads as an old painted wooden column, turned into collars and swells and rubbed back along the edges until a darker ground shows through the white. It is not wood. The supplier's materials field says resin, so this is a casting made to look like weathered timber, which is worth knowing before you lift it and find it lighter and colder than expected. The shade is a wide tapered linen in oatmeal, sitting high on the column under a small ball finial. This is a big lamp and it wants a console table or a wide chest of drawers rather than a bedside table. An in-line switch runs on the flex.

Where it works: on a living room console, on a wide bedroom chest of drawers, or in a hallway where one tall lamp does all the work.
