Flat black metal ribbons wind around each other to form an open sphere, leaving the bulb inside fully visible.

The globe is built from bands of flat black metal that cross and loop to form a rounded cage rather than a solid shade, so light escapes through the gaps in every direction rather than being aimed down. A single bulb sits at the centre on a short drop, and the cord is adjustable so several can be hung at slightly different heights over a run of counter. The open structure design keeps it visually light despite the amount of metal used.

Where it works: in a cluster of two or three over a kitchen island, or as a single drop above a small dining table.

Bulb not included and fully exposed inside the cage, so a decorative filament LED will suit this far better than a plain capsule.
