Kashmar Table Lamp

A carved wooden urn on a square plinth in a dark weathered brown, under a natural linen shade. Traditional without making a fuss about it.

The base is turned and carved: a footed urn with a stepped lip and a shallow bowl, standing on a square plinth, finished in a dark brown that has been rubbed back at the edges so the grain shows through. Above it, the shade is a tapered natural linen drum, pale enough to lift the whole lamp and stop it reading as heavy in a small room. It is light for its size, so it wants a surface where it will not get caught by a sleeve. Minimal assembly is required and there is an in-line switch on the cable.

Where it works: a bedside table, a hallway console, or a living room side table in a traditional or rustic room.
