Sepand Pendant Light

A shallow curved bowl of light beige linen that reads more like a folded leaf than a lampshade and throws its light straight down onto a table.

The shade is a single sweep of linen over a frame, split and overlapped along one edge so the curve reads as two soft petals rather than one closed dish. Because it is open underneath and shallow rather than deep, the light lands wide on a table top instead of pooling in a tight circle, and the linen itself takes on a warm glow at the rim. The colour is a natural, undyed light beige throughout. The canopy is powder coated metal in the same light beige and the flex is fabric covered, so nothing on the fitting breaks the colour.

Where it works: over a dining table, a kitchen island, or low over a living room coffee table where the wide shade can be seen edge on.

This is a shape first and a light second, so a decorative filament lamp suits it better than a plain capsule.
