Dena Table Lamp

A rattan table lamp woven in one piece, a rounded sphere base under a flared cone shade, in a warm brown wicker that reads as texture before it reads as a light.

Base and shade are both woven wicker over an iron frame, so the light passing through is broken into hundreds of small highlights instead of being thrown flat. The base swells into a squat sphere and the cone shade flares out over it, which is what gives the lamp its mushroom profile. Brown rattan is warmer and less bleached than the natural version and sits comfortably against dark oak and walnut. It stands compact enough to fit a bedside table without crowding it.

Where it works: on a bedside table, on a hallway console, or beside a chair in a reading corner where the woven shadow it throws can be seen on the wall.
