Barzin Floor Lamp

A single steel arc rising from a flat disc base and curving well out across the room, ending in a small cream dome pointed straight down.

The whole lamp is one continuous line. The stem leaves a wide disc base almost vertically, bends through a long even arc and finishes with a dome shade hanging over whatever you place beneath it, which on an arc lamp is usually a sofa or a reading chair rather than a table. Everything is powder coated in the same soft cream, including the arc and the base, and the shade is lined white inside so the light coming out stays clean rather than picking up the body colour. A foot switch sits on the textile cable, so it is operated without bending down to the base.

Where it works: over a sofa or a reading chair in a living room, or beside a desk in a home office where the arc clears the furniture.

Check the reach against your room, not just the height. An arc lamp that will not clear the sofa is the most common reason one goes back.
