Three opal glass spheres in three different sizes, hung along two rippling cream arms that cross under the ceiling like a drawn line.

The frame is two slender metal arms curving in opposite directions from a small central canopy, each one dipping and rising so the whole fitting reads as a single continuous wave rather than as a fixture with lights on it. Three opal globes hang from it at different points and, unusually, in three different sizes, which is what stops the arrangement looking mechanical. Opal glass diffuses the light, so each sphere glows evenly without showing the lamp inside. The fitting is light, easily sitting close to a plaster ceiling without a heavy fixing.

Where it works: a bedroom, a living room, or a hallway where a low ceiling rules out anything on a drop.
