Katayoun Table Lamp

A fluted clear glass column banded in polished gold at both ends, carrying a plain white drum shade, tall enough to hold a console on its own.

The base is a cylinder of clear glass with vertical fluting cut into it, capped top and bottom with polished gold collars and threaded with a single gold rod that runs the full height. Because the glass is clear, the light from above passes down through it and the fluting picks up the edges, so the base glows faintly rather than sitting as a dark shape under the shade. The shade is a plain white drum, wide enough to spread light down onto a surface. A toggle switch sits on the cable.

Where it works: a hallway console, a bedside table where the height suits a tall headboard, or a living room sideboard.

One thing to know before it arrives: the column is clear glass and the flex inside it shows. Some people like that, some do not, so look at the base photograph closely.
