Kavad Pendant Light

A single slim bar carrying four small cylinder heads that throw tight cones of light rather than a general wash.

Everything here is reduced to a linear run and four tubes. The bar is powder coated metal in a matt cream, so it disappears against a pale ceiling, and the heads are small cylinders, which is what gives the beams their edge. Three point down at the surface below and one points up at the ceiling, so you get pooled task light along the length and a soft bounce above it at the same time. It hangs on a single central rod suspension with one supporting cable, which keeps the underside of the bar clean and unbroken.

Where it works: down the length of a dining table, over a kitchen island, or above a long desk in a home office.
