Zayandeh Table Lamp

A heavy cast concrete base in near black, tapered like a bollard, under a wide natural linen drum shade that softens everything above it.

The base does the work. It is real concrete rather than a coating, so the surface is genuinely rough and pitted and takes the light unevenly, and it has the weight to sit still on a sideboard. Above it the shade is a drum in a cotton and linen mix, oatmeal rather than white, with enough slub in the weave to read as a natural fibre from across the room. The textile flex carries an in-line toggle switch, so you are not reaching behind furniture.

Where it works: on a bedside table, a hallway console, or a living room sideboard where the concrete has something solid to sit on.

Concrete chips if you knock it against a hard edge, and it is heavy for its size. Worth knowing before it goes somewhere it will be moved often.

Returns 14 days from delivery, no reason required. If it arrives damaged we cover the return — transit damage is our problem.
