Abadeh Semi Flush Ceiling Light

A shallow curve of light beige linen, split and overlapped along one edge, held just below the ceiling on a short stem so it clears a low room.

The shade is one curved sweep of linen over a bowl shaped frame, folded so the two halves overlap and leave an open crescent underneath. That gap is where the lamp sits and where the light comes out, which means the bulb is part of the design rather than something hidden. It reads as an oval rather than a circle, and it hangs from a small round canopy on a stem of only a few centimetres. Powder coated metal in the same natural beige keeps the mount from breaking the line.

Where it works: a bedroom, a hallway or landing, and any low ceiling room where a hanging pendant would be in the way.

The visible lamp is the decision here. A small opal globe keeps it quiet, a clear filament makes it the feature.
