Sahand Pendant Light

A shallow linen bowl folded so the two halves overlap, leaving an open crescent where the lamp hangs in full view beneath it.

The shade is one continuous piece of light beige linen curved over a frame and split along one edge, and the overlap is what gives it the soft folded look rather than the flat look of a drum. Light leaves through the open crescent underneath, so it falls straight down onto a table, while the linen itself picks up a low warm glow at the rim. It reads as an oval from every angle except directly below. The flex is fabric covered in the same beige and the drop adjusts at installation.

Where it works: over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or low over a living room coffee table.

Pick the lamp with care. It hangs in plain sight, so a soft warm globe suits it better than a bright bare one.
