Nariman Floor Lamp

A fluted linen drum on a slim cream stem and a low disc base, standing tall so the shade sits at eye level beside a chair.

The shade is built from linen panels rolled into half tubes and set side by side around the frame, which throws a soft vertical shadow between each one and gives the drum its ribbed profile. It is open at the top and the bottom, so light goes up the wall as well as down onto the floor. The stem is a plain painted rod in the same warm cream and the base is a shallow weighted disc, which keeps the footprint small enough to slide behind an armchair. A foot switch sits on the cable.

Where it works: beside a sofa or armchair in a living room, in a reading corner, or in a bedroom next to a chair.

This is an atmosphere lamp for a corner, not the light you read fine print by, and no bulb comes with it.
