Sam Floor Lamp

A tall linen column in light beige wraps base and shade into one continuous silhouette, this floor lamp giving a warm, indirect glow through its fabric drum top.

The linen column stands tall, its surface texture consistent from the floor to the drum shade at the top, so the whole piece reads as a single sculptural form rather than a base with a shade balanced on it. Inside, a white powder-coated metal frame gives the fabric its shape without ever being seen. The light is soft and indirect, diffused through the linen rather than pointed anywhere in particular, so it works well as ambient corner lighting rather than for reading fine print. A foot switch on the black textile cable turns it on and off without reaching up to the shade, and it comes fitted with a UK three-pin plug.

Where it works: a living room corner where a tall, soft-glowing column adds height without visual weight, a reading corner, or a bedroom corner for background light.
