The whole lamp is iron, powder coated in a matt light grey with a fine grain that catches side light and reads as ceramic rather than metal. The dome shade is open at the bottom, so light pours down onto the surface it stands on and washes back up the wall behind it rather than filling the room. The tapered cone base gives it a low centre of gravity and a quiet, sculptural profile that works on a narrow bedside table. There is no visible hardware, just the small collar where the shade meets the base.

Where it works: a bedside table, a hallway console, or a living room side table where a soft downward pool of light is wanted rather than a general glow.
