Zarasp Table Lamp

A single opal glass globe caught inside a tall brushed brass arch, standing on a flat oval base with a cable running off the back.

The arch is the whole design. It is a single bent brass tube standing on an oval plate, and the globe sits inside it at about two thirds height, held from one side so the sphere appears to be resting against the frame rather than fixed to it. Opal glass is white right through rather than sprayed, so the globe lights evenly with no bright spot showing where the lamp sits, and the brushed brass around it picks up that light without throwing hard reflections. It is a lamp with no shade to line up and nothing to adjust.

Where it works: on a bedside table, on a hallway console, or on a living room sideboard.
