Marble is not translucent the way alabaster is, so only the thinner parts of the stone pass light and the rest stays solid. That is what gives this fitting its particular look when it is on: a warm glow low down where the stone thins, and heavy grey and brown veining above it that stays dark. The base is a rounded plate in dark brushed bronze that echoes the shape of the shade above it. Every piece of marble is different, so the pattern cannot be specified and should not be promised.

Where it works: as a bedside pair, along a hallway, or on a landing wall.

Marble glows unevenly and that is the point of it. If a customer wants a clean even panel of light, sell them alabaster instead.
