Sepidan Flush Ceiling Light

A wide flat disc of burnished brass held straight against the ceiling, with a bare filament globe hanging below it and nothing else to the fitting at all.

The plate is the design and the lamp is the shade. A single flat brass circle goes against the ceiling, a short holder drops from the middle of it, and the lamp sits underneath completely exposed. The disc catches upward light and bounces a warm reflection back down, which is the only optical work happening here. Burnished brass is a live finish rather than a lacquered colour, so it warms and deepens over the years and no two plates settle at the same tone.

Where it works: a hallway, a landing, or any low ceiling where a hanging fitting would be in the way.
