Aligudarz Pendant Light

A translucent cream mesh ellipse hung from a fabric covered flex, with the frame ribs and the lamp visible through the shade.

The shade is a flattened sphere, wide and shallow, built from textured mesh stretched over a fine wire frame. Because the fabric is see-through rather than opaque, the ribs of the frame draw curved lines across the whole surface and the lamp sits plainly at the centre of them. Lit, the effect is a broad warm disc of light with the structure faintly drawn on it; unlit, it is a soft pale shape with almost no detail. The flex is adjustable at installation, so the drop can be set to suit the room.

Where it works: over a dining table, in a living room, or in a bedroom with the ceiling height to clear the shade.

One thing still to confirm: the supplier calls the shade textile and never names the fibre, so we are not claiming it is linen until they do.
