Eqlid Semi Flush Ceiling Light

At close range, slim brass arms radiate from a low ceiling canopy, each one ending in an exposed bulb, so the fixture sits close to the ceiling and reads as a piece of brass sculpture when it is off.

The frame is a polished brass sputnik: a short central stem with slender rods splaying outward at different angles, each tipped with an open socket that takes a decorative bulb rather than a shade. Because it mounts close to the ceiling on a short drop, it works in rooms where a full pendant would hang too low. Left on with warm frosted bulbs it gives a soft, ambient glow that reads more like a lit sculpture than a bright downlight.

Where it works: a living room, a dining room, or a kitchen with a ceiling too low for a hanging chandelier.
