Thousands of faceted crystal beads radiate on thin wires from a gold or chrome centre in this flush ceiling light, scattering points of reflected light across the room.

Dense clusters of small faceted crystal beads cover dozens of slim wire branches that fan out flat against the ceiling, close enough to the surface to suit a room where a hanging chandelier would not fit. Lamps sit within the branches, and the whole piece is available in gold or chrome. The effect depends on catching daylight or lamp light on hundreds of tiny facets rather than throwing a single strong beam, so it reads as sparkle and texture more than pure brightness in either a living room or dining room.

Where it works: a living room or dining room with a lower ceiling, where the flush profile matters more than drop.
