A rounded, hand-textured plaster-effect shade in a warm natural stone tone hangs on a thin cord, its uneven base edge giving it a deliberately handmade look.

The shade reads as cast plaster or a similar mineral composite, rough to the eye with visible flecks and an uneven, dripped edge along the bottom rather than a clean circular rim. The supplier's own spec sheet names the primary material as metal, which the photograph does not support at all; this is a plaster-type finish through and through, closer to a wabi-sabi handmade object than a manufactured metal shade. A single lamp, not included, sits inside, its glow escaping through the gap at the shade's lowest point rather than through any visible aperture in a dining room or reading corner.
