Lahijan Chandelier

A rectangular black metal cage packed edge to edge with faceted crystal, this chandelier is built for a long run over a kitchen island or dining table.

Lamps sit inside a matt black frame lined with faceted crystal on every face, so light scatters in every direction rather than beaming straight down. It suits a run of worktop or a six-to-eight seat table rather than a single point, and the two suspension rods adjust so the drop can be set for a standard or a taller ceiling. Unlit, the black frame keeps a graphic, architectural line; lit, the crystal takes over.

Where it works: over a kitchen island or dining room table, where its length can run parallel to the surface it is lighting.
