Chalus Chandelier

A black linear bar chandelier with two opal glass globes and a single brass cone shade hanging at a different height, built as one long dining room and kitchen island fixture.

The black metal bar carries three separate lights rather than one repeated shade: two small opal glass globes sit above the bar, and a brass cone shade hangs lower to one side, aimed more directly at the worktop below. Two suspension rods let the whole bar be levelled and set to the right drop for the ceiling. It mixes two lamps in the globes with one lamp in the cone, so the globes and the task light can be balanced independently with the right lamps.

Where it works: along a kitchen island where you want both an ambient glow and a brighter pool of task light, or over a long dining table.
