Alamut Wall Light

Slim brass rods fanned out from a central band on a round backplate, with a single bare lamp standing in the middle of the fan.

The rods are cut to different lengths and splayed upward and downward from a curved band, so the fan is denser at the centre and opens out at the edges. There is no shade: the lamp sits exposed in the middle of the rods, and the light it throws catches every rod along its length, which is what makes the fan read as bright metal rather than a flat silhouette. Everything is solid brass in a natural finish, so it will warm and deepen with age rather than staying the same colour.

Where it works: along a hallway, on a landing wall, or in a living room where the fitting is meant to be seen as an object as much as a light.

Returns 14 days from delivery, no reason required. If it arrives damaged we cover the return — transit damage is our problem.
