Faramarz Ceiling Light

Three opal glass spheres hung under a straight brass plated bar, fixed to the ceiling on a short stem so the run of light sits high and out of the way.

The bar is a plain rectangular section in a brass plated finish, dropped from a round canopy on a short stem, with the three globes spaced evenly beneath it. Each sphere is opal glass, which hides the lamp inside and glows evenly all the way round rather than showing a bright spot. Because it is semi flush rather than suspended, the whole fitting sits close to the ceiling, which is the reason to choose it over a hanging bar in a room without much height.

Where it works: over a kitchen island, along a dining room table, or down a hallway where a hanging fitting would be in the way.

This is a supplementary light rather than a sole light source. Pair it with downlights already in the ceiling rather than relying on it alone in a kitchen.
