Kuhrang Wall Light

A tall fluted glass tube held clear of a round brushed brass backplate on a short arm, with the ribbing running the full height of the glass.

The flutes are the fitting. Straight vertical ribs are pressed the whole length of the clear tube, so each one picks up the lamp inside as a separate bright line and the tube reads as a row of thin highlights rather than as one lit cylinder. The tube is held off the wall on a short brass arm, which leaves a shadow gap behind it and stops the whole thing sitting flat. The backplate is a plain brushed brass circle. Vertical fittings like this suit a narrow wall better than a wide one.

Where it works: along a hallway, as a bedside pair, or either side of a mirror in a living room.

A long thin lamp suits a long thin tube. A short one leaves the top half dark, and the holder is still unconfirmed.
