Arsham Pendant Light

Five amber glass globes dropped at staggered lengths from a single black ceiling bar, so one ceiling point lights the whole length of a table.

Each globe is a ball of warm amber tinted glass, thick and slightly uneven at the base, which gives the light a soft lens edge rather than a clean circle. The tint is warm rather than orange, so the lamp inside reads closer to candle light than to tungsten glare. The five drops hang from a slim matt black ceiling bar, and the cables are set at different lengths so the row has some movement in it instead of sitting as five identical points. The drop length can be adjusted at installation to suit the ceiling height.

Where it works: along a dining table, over a kitchen island, or above a breakfast counter in an open plan kitchen.
