Bazman Table Lamp

A wide, low glass base in a smoked brown, carrying a natural linen shade with a dark trim. The glass stays part of the picture whether the lamp is on or off.

The base is a low glass globe in a smoked brown, widest just under the shade line and drawn back to a narrow brass neck. It is not clear glass whatever the supplier's copy says: held against a white wall it reads mink, closer to weak tea than to grey. The shade above it is a tapered drum in a natural linen with a dark brown trim at the top and bottom edge, wide enough to balance the glass underneath. The low, wide base suits a console or a generous bedside table rather than a narrow one.

Where it works: a bedside table with room either side, a hallway console, or a living room sideboard where the glass can catch daylight.
