Artabanus Pendant Light

A single vertical rod carrying three pearlescent glass globes near its base, one on each side and one below, so the fitting hangs like a small column of spheres.

Almost the whole length is a plain cream rod dropping from a flat round canopy, and the interest is all at the bottom, where a short cross arm carries two globes out to the sides and a third sits directly beneath. That arrangement is what makes it work in a stairwell: seen from below it is three spheres, seen from the side it is a line with a cluster at the end. The glass is opal with a faint pearl sheen rather than a flat milk white, and it hides the lamp completely. The cross arm is fixed and the drop height adjusts at installation to suit the ceiling.

Where it works: down a stairwell, in a hallway with height, or over a dining table where the vertical drop suits a high ceiling.

Same correction as its horizontal sibling: the glass is described as transparent and it is not. It is solid opal, and it is an accent light rather than a room light.
