Kuhrang Table Lamp

A turned wood column in a distressed near black finish under a cream linen shade, small enough for a bedside table or a shelf.

The base is turned into a narrow baluster on a round stepped foot, then painted and rubbed back so pale wood shows through the black along every ridge and edge. That wear is deliberate and it is most of the character. The shade is cream linen, tapered, and wide relative to the base, which stops the lamp reading as a novelty and lets it hold its own next to a stack of books. This is a compact lamp, sized for where a full size lamp would crowd the surface: a bedside table, a shelf, or a deep windowsill. The supplier publishes no lamp holder, so the cap type has to be confirmed before you buy bulbs.

Where it works: on a bedside table, on a narrow hallway console, or on a living room bookshelf where a taller lamp will not fit.
