Marzeh Pendant Light

A single solid glass teardrop on a black cable, capped in a burnished bronze that sits almost black against the clear glass it holds.

The glass is thick and clear rather than thin blown, so the base of the drop behaves like a lens and puts a bright point of light on the surface below. Inside, a slim bronze stem carries the lamp and is visible straight through the glass, which is the whole point of the design and the reason the lamp you fit is on show. The cap and stem are solid brass under a burnished bronze finish, dark enough to read as near black until warm light picks up the copper in it.

Where it works: low over a bedside table, in a run along a kitchen island, or clustered above a dining table.
