Three solid clear glass teardrops hung at staggered lengths from one round brass canopy, so a single ceiling point does the work of a small cluster.

Each drop is thick clear glass with a weighted base that acts as a lens, so all three throw a bright point of light onto the surface below rather than a soft wash. The cables are black fabric and cut to different lengths, which stops the group reading as a row and gives it depth from any angle. The canopy is a round burnished brass plate and takes one ceiling outlet, which is what makes this the practical choice over three separate pendants in a room with only one fixing point.

Where it works: over a bedside table in a small room, above a kitchen island, or centred on a round dining table.
