Roshanak Floor Lamp

A glossy sand coloured dome on a rust brown post, throwing all its light downward onto the floor around it.

The shade is a deep half dome in a warm sand gloss, and because it is metal and fully opaque, every bit of the output goes down. That makes it a task lamp in practice, good beside a desk or a chair, rather than a lamp that lifts a whole room. The post is a straight cylinder painted a warm rust brown with a polished sheen, and it meets a matching sand disc base with a small brass coloured collar at the top. The two tone split is deliberate and it is what stops the shape from being generic. It is a substantial lamp that stays where it is put.

Where it works: a living room corner beside a chair, a home office next to a desk, or a dining room where a floor lamp lights the edge of the table.
