Cast in clear acrylic and cut with a repeating diamond facet pattern, this small cone-shaped lamp scatters the light from its integrated LED into hundreds of tiny bright points rather than a single soft glow. It runs on a rechargeable battery, so it's fully portable and needs no cable or socket nearby, only an occasional charge. A three-step touch control on the base steps between a warmer and a cooler light.

Where it works: a bedside table, a living room coffee table, or a home office desk where a cable-free accent light is useful.
