Golzar Pendant Light

A squared paper lantern with a pale ash pole running top to bottom, hung on a white textile flex.

The paper is laid over fine horizontal ribs, so lit it glows evenly across the whole body with no bright spot where the lamp sits. Unlit it reads as a pale sculptural block rather than a light fitting, which is why it suits a bedroom corner as much as a table. The look is quietly Scandinavian in style, natural materials left on show. The ash wood pole and collar are the only structure you can see, and the flex is textile covered rather than plastic. Hanging length is set at installation to suit the room.

Where it works: over a dining table at low drop, in a bedroom where the paper keeps the light soft, or along a hallway.

A warm LED suits the paper. A cooler tone makes rice paper look grey rather than cream.
