Zarrin Pendant Light

A globe hollowed from natural alabaster on a rigid rod, the larger of the two sizes in this shape and enough to light a table on its own.

The stone is hollowed until the wall is thin enough for light to pass through, so a solid sphere of alabaster behaves like an opal shade while keeping its own markings. Once lit, the grey and honey veining shows right across the surface and the globe glows evenly with no bright spot where the lamp sits. It has the presence to work alone over a small table rather than needing to be run in a group. The rod is rigid, so the height is set by the stem and does not move afterwards.

Where it works: over a bedside table, along a hallway, or singly above a kitchen island or a small round table.
