Mesin Pendant Light

A small clear glass cone on a rigid solid brass rod finished in burnished bronze, dark enough to read as black against the glass it holds.

The shade is a plain cone of clear glass, wide at the rim and narrow at the collar, and it lifts off for cleaning without any tools. Clear glass hides nothing, so the lamp inside is part of the design and the light comes down direct rather than diffused. The stem is solid brass rod under a burnished bronze finish, which means the colour is in the metal rather than sprayed on, and because the stem is rigid the drop height is fixed by the rod and set before the fitting goes up.

Where it works: in a row along a kitchen island, over a bedside table, or above a console in a hallway.
