Aban Floor Lamp

A slim turned column in a mid oak wood effect, stacked with spheres and rings, under a natural linen drum shade.

The column is cast in resin and finished to look like turned oak, with a run of turned balls, collars and rings up its length and a broad disc foot to weight it. The grain effect is convincing at normal viewing distance and the tone sits between honey and walnut, so it works against both painted and timber furniture. The natural linen drum shade is open top and bottom, which throws light up the wall as well as down onto a chair, so the lamp fills a corner rather than picking out one seat. It is tall enough to read by from a standard armchair.

Where it works: next to an armchair in a living room, in a reading corner, or as the tall element in a bedroom seating group.

The base is a wood effect cast, not solid timber. Worth saying plainly, because the photograph reads as oak.
