Hushang Table Lamp

A turned spindle column in a wood effect resin, carrying a tapered natural linen shade. Quiet enough to sit in a traditional room without arguing with it.

The base is moulded resin finished to look like turned and limed wood, a stacked spindle profile rising from a stepped round foot to a slim neck under the shade. It is not timber, but the grain and the paler worn edges hold up at arm's length. The shade is a tapered drum in a natural linen, edged top and bottom, which spreads the light rather than aiming it. The shade sits wide at its base, so it wants a reasonable depth of surface under it.

Where it works: a bedroom bedside table, a reading corner beside an armchair, or a hallway console in a traditional or rustic room.
