Susan Table Lamp

A small turned wood column, washed grey so the grain still shows, under a tapered natural linen shade. Sized for a bedside table rather than a room.

The base is turned in one piece with a stack of beads and a spreading foot, then finished in a grey wash thin enough to leave the wood texture and the tool marks visible. The shade is a plain tapered cone in an oatmeal linen weave that lets a little light through the sides while sending most of it up and down. The whole lamp sits below eye level on a bedside table, which is the point: it lights the surface it stands on and the person next to it, and nothing else in the room.

Where it works: on a bedside table, on a narrow hallway console, or on a landing shelf where a full sized lamp would crowd the space.

Confirm the lamp holder and the cable before you order. The supplier sheet lists neither, and at this size the fitting is almost certainly small.
