Sangesar Pendant Light

A brass collar cut on a steep diagonal over a body of amber tinted glass, so the lamp inside is half hidden and half on show.

The top half is brass plated metal, mirror bright, and it is cut away at an angle rather than straight across. The bottom half is amber tinted glass. Where the two meet, the metal reflects the lamp back into the glass and the glass throws a warm cast onto whatever is under it. It is a fitting that depends on the bulb you choose, because the filament is visible from every side. As a single point light, use two or three in a row over a long surface.

Where it works: over a dining table or a kitchen island, singly or in a run of two or three.
