Shabcheragh Pendant Light

A flattened globe of mirrored smoked glass on a slim gold stem, small enough to hang in a row of three over an island.

The glass is mirrored on the outside, so unlit it reads as a dark reflective ball that picks up whatever is around it, and lit it warms to a soft amber where the lamp sits. The shade is squashed rather than truly round, wider than it is tall, which keeps the fitting from looking heavy at close range. Stem, ceiling plate and the small finial under the shade are all polished gold, and the cable is black so the drop reads as a line rather than a stripe.

Where it works: in a row of two or three over a kitchen island, over a dining table, or singly at bedside height.
