Golgun Pendant Light

A flattened globe of mirrored smoked glass on a matt black stem, the quieter half of a pair that also comes in gold.

Mirrored on the outside and smoked through, the shade reads as a dark reflective ball when the light is off and warms around the lamp when it is on. It is squashed rather than truly spherical, wider than it is tall, which stops it looking heavy over a worktop. The stem, ceiling plate and the small finial beneath the shade are matt black, so against a dark ceiling the whole fitting reduces to the glass alone. Sold as a single pendant, cable suspended.

Where it works: in a row of two or three over a kitchen island, or over a dining table at eye clearing height.
