Katayoun Flush Ceiling Light

A rough, grey stone-textured dome sits flush against the ceiling, its underside opening into a smooth crescent that glows softly like a sliver of moonlight.

Cast in a dense resin finished to look and feel like weathered grey stone, the dome has an uneven, gritty surface on top that contrasts with a smooth, lighter crescent cut into its underside. That crescent is where the light escapes, so the fixture reads as a solid stone form during the day and a glowing pebble shape once lit. It comes in two sizes, and the wabi-sabi philosophy behind it means no two units are perfectly identical, part of the appeal rather than a flaw.

Where it works: a living room ceiling, a bedroom, or a hallway wanting a sculptural, low-profile fitting.
